FSR are working with an Analytics consultancy, focused on delivering Big Data solutions for leading companies across industries including Telecoms, Banking, Retail and Manufacturing.
Our client are seeking to hire a skilled Statistical/Quantitative Analyst for a project in the Middle East with a leading organisation.
The successful candidate will be required to assist in all phases of model development, evaluation, and deployment for use in support of a supply chain related assignment.
Research and develop Value-at-Risk (VaR) type models
Research and improve on existing forecast models
Conduct process control and model validation
Work with various data sources and platforms (PC, Mainframe, Unix/Linux, Teradata) to gather data
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Ideally Masters or PhD level education in a quantitative field
3 - 5 years of programming experience, to include experience in either R, S plus, SAS or Matlab
3 - 5 years of modelling experience (linear and non-linear)
Demonstrated experience conducting statistical analysis in a business or academic environment
Experience in Manufacturing / FMCG optimisation projects is highly desirable
Experience in maximum likelihood estimation, causal inference, density estimation, time series forecasting, stochastic processes, survival analysis, and multivariate techniques such as PCA, factor analysis and cluster analysis
Ability to translate complex quantitative methods into easily understood results for all levels of business customers
SQL programming experience is desirable
The role is on a consultancy contract for 3-5 months, with a (potentially tax free) package of $14,000 - $16,000 USD per month.
Subject to suitable delivery, the contract may be extended by our client for other related high profile assignments, planned for Europe and the Middle East during 2017.
